I got a text from a New York Times editor in the early afternoon of Jan. 6 asking me to stand by as events were developing downtown. Once everyone realized what was actually happening, I was sent out to film.

Footage was used in the above video the next day, and has been used in additional videos analyzing the events of Jan. 6, and across social media.
